Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is an author, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. After moving into England from Greece at 16, she received a MA with Economics from Cambridge University. The first graduate who was not from the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. She became a syndicated conservative writer following her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years later, she developed an online platform for voice with a critique of current political scenarios. In part, her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's celebrity status began in 2003, when she declared herself an independent candidate for the California recall election to succeed then-Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of a Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes listed her as the top female in the media industry in the year 2009. The newspaper was ranked as in the 12th spot on Forbes' list. The Guardian added her to the top 100 list of media outlets in the year 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her president of that media company, which also included a number of at the time-current AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and manager Konstantinos along with his partner Elli Stasinopoulos. They were very close to her father. However, it was her bond with her mother which shaped her.
