Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin was born in Winnipeg she grew up in Wellington she made her first appearance as Flora McGrath when she played her role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 as Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th July 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actress, and New Zealander who as a child was awarded her first Academy Award in 1993 for being the most effective support actress. She was cast as Flora McGrath the daughter of Mute Scottish pianist who, in the late 19th century, moves back to New Zealand for an arranged marriage when she responded to an open audition when she was just nine years aged and had little previous acting experience. When she was in her teens, the actress was able to move to the United States. Paquin was the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. Also, she was an important part for the role of the Queen in Fly Away Home, a movie from that same year. Paquin did a brief appearance in the 1997 TV movie adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad her character was the queen of Spain as a minor character. She also played teens for Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon(1999) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she was the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
